This film had formerly been identified, on the strength of a boxcover widely associated with the file on the internet, as Pin Pon (1986) - this led to considerable confusion with both film and cast of the 1984 version. Particularly on the basis of a segment involving honey, at 22'30", it is now thought that Miele Selvaggio is the correct title. It is not known how the Pin Pon boxcover illustration became associated with the MS file - the possibility exists of deliberate deception, for a variety of reasons - not unknown in Italian films of the period. At any rate, the first few seconds of the copy viewed are missing, meaning that we may never be absolutely certain of the original title.
