The soft version was significantly different from the original hard version, including scenes omitted from the latter (and obviously vice versa). The Beate Uhse TV soft version was longer than another soft version. It seems that Kino Kult released a new edit on DVD which combined the soft and hard versions, using footage from different prints so that the picture quality varies from scene to scene and making this version a lot longer. Presumably they retained scenes from the soft version in order to keep more of the story line. |
