Miss M Thorne was interviewed for 'M' magazine with todays Mirror, one line she gave was 'I could earn up to ?25,000 for a hard-core film, but I dread to think waht I'd have to do to earn that' Would any of the people behind the camera who contribute care to comment on this thought?

Hmmmm...
Here's a little story, that springs to mind, regarding girls payments in the industry... Having just started out nearly 3 years ago, I had a discussion along these lines, with a well known director/producer, regarding the amount of the "industry standard" payments...
I asked him if he didn't think that the girls were worth more, and he replied to me, that "No girl, will ever be paid what she's really worth, in porno, ever !"
At first I thought he was being ignorant, but when I said..."whys that then" his reply made me think...
His reply ?
"Because if the girls got what they were really worth, it would be the end of the industry... because after only one shoot, the girls would be set up for life, would have bought themselves a house & car, and retire immediately !"
No punchline... I just thought I would share it with you all...

Economically speaking, the market for porn actresses is pretty close to a perfect market, and there are no government restrictions (even in the UK), so in practice porn stars should be getting pretty much exactly what they are worth.
Of course, if any particular star can differentiate herself sufficiently so that she has no competition, then her value might rise.
In the case of Ms Thorne, her surgical modifications have made her more like the industry standard product rather than less, so I suspect she is right to suppose that she would need to do something fairly unpleasant to earn fifty times the going rate.

It's not unheard of that she could be offered that much, it was rumoured that Adele Stephens was offered $20,000 by Private so why not Michelle too but I do know that you can drop a couple of zero's off fpr what she has done it for before which seems to be more the standard going rate.
