Though it's a reservoir of fascinating footage for fans of nineties glamour girls I regret VA has been a non-profit making organisation for some years now and I can't really see that changing. This is one reason that VA service has been a little sloppy over the past couple of years - it just doesn?t pay our wages, so we have had to spend quality time on things that do. Which means that VA business has had to wait till we have had a minute spare and quite often we haven't. One of the reasons we did publish a catalogue of new material was because of requests on this forum and the odd requests from fans for movies of their favourite 90's girl that trickle in virtually everyday. However, it seems punters on the whole aren?t particularly interested in current models and the last catalogue only broke even i.e. it didn't turn a profit. But it took a solid month to put that together and we needed ?8,000.00 net to cover us for that period, when it became clear that this was not going to happen our attentions had to quickly focus on other cash generating activities to fill the gap - which meant that some folks simply had to wait. We then got into a load of other bother and a messy situation just got messier. So I wouldn't be at all surprised if some folks still have items outstanding.
However, there is a new plan to re-lauch VA as an officially limited company on the continent. The aim being to tidy up and re-release the old footage for the benefit of collectors and fans. There may be the odd new movie - but only featuring top quality girls who are a bit special (possibly European) and there won't be any serious attempt to get new punters to buy new material - I think that's a lost cause. But crucially there will be someone on hand dedicated to servicing the orders on a daily basis (using TNT if you order on Monday it could be with you by Wednesday) The only reason we can now do this is that one of our ex-pat colleagues is sitting on Southern Spanish beach finding that now the novelty of continental living is wearing off he needs something to keep him occupied, and as he has a share of the company, if no money is made he is fully accepting of the fact that there will be no wages. Of course one of the fist items on the new companie?s agenda will be to sort out anyone with outstanding merchandise from last time. No drama, no fuss, no hysterics, that's all there is to it. To tell you the truth I don't expect to make a bean out of it. But I love the old movies of the nineties glamour girls (there?s loads of it here and I've only had chance to see a fascinating fraction) and I'd like to share it with anyone else who's of a similar mind.
Unfortunately, for your good self, we've had a purge of the mailing list and as it doesn?t appear that you have ever purchased anything from us, on top of the expense of sending catalogues to Australia, we've regretfully, deleted you from the list. However, if you send us ?5.00 Stirling your subscription will be cool for another two issues.
Sorted.

Well as Deuce has bought up the subject of Video Angels and one of the threads I posted on....Will we ever get our orders that were made a long while back? As we have waited this long fo the DVDs/Videos I thought the items would one day come through the post...but have given up hope...not even the money was returned back. I can understand that there was a lot of trouble Video Angels went through. But could you tell us If we ever will get our orders??

I refer you to the last paragraph of my last post.

The first steps towards this end have already been taken.

Is it likely that will ever be finished now you're back? The site content hasn't changed for months, many of the buttons are dead links (as did the VA site) and I'm amazed there's still no way of ordering from this vast back catalogue of remastered (to quote the site "ie. colour corrected") dvds online - I assure you if you set up a paypal account - something even the shoddiest little amateur home porn sites do easily - and let us guys order via the net rather than post, you'll get lots more orders. that Laura Singer footage for example on your opening page would sell ?15 a go no problem. you obviously have this footage, so please make it easy to buy it and you can have my cash like right now.

Re: Att: OFFICER DIBBLE
Thanks for your reply....and I don't think it really answers my question.
I simply want to know...with the money I had sent with my order over a year ago...Will I get my order eventually or is it lost forever...?? or for that matter for others who have ordered?
Glad your back and getting things rolling again. I did read that part of the second paragraph but It never totaly answered my question. I did e-mail Video Angels a few times and was told of the trouble, but was never told If my stuff would be sent which was a big disapointment.
Cheers

Re: OFFICER DIBBLE - BACK ON THE BEAT!
Your criticisms are justified Bill - I guess I've just lost my focus since we ran into bother last year and I haven't really accomplished anything to crow about since.
But, regarding the links. I have made this point before - they're not dead. It's just that there's nothing on the other end of them - yet. And Paypal, forgive me for not being totally up to speed. But didn't I hear that they had turned all poncy and would no longer accept business from purveyors of erotica?
Regarding re-mastering and authoring DVD's. It was only after issuing certain rash statements that we realized what a huge undertaking this was. Anyone who has ever tired to make a semi-pro attempted at analogue to digital conversion, editing and colour correction, digital to MPEG conversion, the possible creation of bespoke menu graphics and music. And maybe even the generation of Dolby Digital (AC-3) sound files, will know what I'm talking about. To create each of those DVD titles you see in Blockbuster there will have been a full team of well clued up (and expensive) professionals working on it for a week or two. This is fine if there is the prospect of selling millions, thousands (or even hundreds of copies if selling direct to punters.) But it doesn't add up if your only going to shift 10-20. Unless of course you charged ?500.00 quid each for them. We made a few DVD's up and from that extrapolated that it would take us two years of working on it, everyday day, to convert the whole back catalogue. Any accountant would tell you that it's not a commercially viable goer and that if your going to proceed down that route it will have to be a labour of love (which I don't rule out) I'm sure there would be more orders to be garnered on-line from the enquires that we get from folks all over the world that have stumbled on to our few web pages, but not that many. And at ?15.00 we would need to be shipping sackfuls out of the door to pay our wages.
Regarding the Laura Singer footage. It has been offered on more than one occasion - though I don't believe the whole unexpurgated session has been offered yet.
But let's not be to pessimistic. There is a will to accomplish all I would like for VA - decent website, quality products, modern, efficient ordering and processing system. Hopefully, we will have the time and cash to accomplish these goals in the coming months.
