My post yesterdy about the forum being hi-jacked was meant as constructuive criticism, and if it was read any other way, then please accept my apologies. I was unaware of the staffing arrangements.
Caractacus says it all, and those of us who are wary about our e-mail addresses being in the public domain should all be able to find a way around it, and still satisfy the requirements of the registration procedure. I certainly don't plan to let the idiots who took over earlier this spoil my enjoyment of the forum.
I'm comfortable with the prospect of having to register - let's face it, our personal and private details are held on files all over the place.

HOTMAIL ... just do it!! :-)
I say go for it and all those who fear their email being given away... get a hotmail account. Why would this be out of the question? If you don't like hotmail/microsoft... then there are dozens and dozens of those type providers... PLUS there are sites which will allow you to have anonymous emails where they don't keep logging information etc...
The bottom line... he who runs the sites makes the rules... and I am more than willing to stay a contributor.

Re: HOTMAIL ... just do it!! :-)
We here at strand think that having to register is a great idea...If it helps to loose the idiots...This is a great forum and it is a shame that it is spoilt by a few sad people.
We will go along with you...

As a regular contributor (if not frequent) I believe that the registration idea is perfectly O.K.
I agree though that it should be kept behind the scenes.

Re: HOTMAIL ... just do it!! :-)
Oid made a good point in that with anonymous e-mail accounts any nutter can register and there would still be the same problem as there is now. The 2 minutes it would take to set-up the account is hardly likely to deter the kind of people this forum could do without. Having said that, it would probably stop the dickheads making nasty comments about models etc because I doubt they could be bothered to go through a registration process just for that...(probably not)
I'm still in favour of it anyway.

Re: HOTMAIL ... just do it!! :-)
What about excluding free email addresses? - However, this might be going abit too far and some people might lose out as the may not have a normal account (i don't for a start). Just a thought...

Re: HOTMAIL ... just do it!! :-)
I would leave it as it is, if anyone writes rubbish don't answer it and they guys will delete it when they get a chance. This is a great forum..and so say all of us...
Anyway I seem to recall loads of outbursts etc coming from regulars with e-mail address on there. I would sign up if required but someone knowin my e-mail or my tel/house addess etc wouldn't bother me or change my opinions. I don't know if my punter palls would be so open.
Thats my bit.
