I don't want to be pushed into defending Max Hardcore (who would, except a lawyer?), but the holier-than-thou tone of some of these comments gets my goat (and no, I'm not into bestiality...)
I have seen things in many other videos just as 'bad' as anything in the single MH tape I've seen.
I'm not in the business, so I don't know what is normal behaviour at a 'casting' session, but I wouldn't assume that MH's behaviour in the C4 prog was any worse than usual, whether in the US or UK. There was another C4 documentary, repeated last week, called 'Boogie Nights in Suburbia', which dealt with the British porn industry. One of the characters was a sleazy old scrote who was an agent/producer interviewing a girl who had never done a vid before. He didn't shag her straight away (but who knows what he would have done if the C4 people hadn't been filming?) but invited her back for a 'test' video. She said to the C4 people that she wasn't sure what this meant, but she thought it probably involved having sex. Well - surprise! - it involves shagging the agent. It was not stated whether she was paid for her 'test'.

I'll agree to a point that the doc didn't show the entire story, but it WAS a documentary and not a group of actors in a play. The people concerned were real enough and what happened... happened.

Finally, comments like "Leanne was such a weak and sad girl cos she only did porn for issues relating to her dad" and "...as M.H. got 'stuck in'" deomonstrates more eloquently then you'd deliberately be able to manage, why some of us are interested in porn not through a choice of one option among many, but because we're that ugly as a person (inside and no doubt out as well) that the chance of anybody finding us arousing other then our own reflection exists only in the land of make believe.
