serious porn discussion

Post by zasuna »

lets be honest the stuff british producers turn out is so far behind the rest of the world.yes i know ben dover is a god and his stuff is great but how many other people are going to use a similar gonzo personna before they can come up with their own ideas,no names mentioned but you know who i am on about.
the quality of the girls, sets, outfits, locations, plot, sex is far greater in euro films why cant we match these jonny foreighers after all we have some beautys in this country as well.as for the american films we cant even hold a candle and south america foget it.
so the next time you spend ?20 on a vid with crack heads filmed in a bedsit in romford with a 10 year old camcorder just think what your money could have bought you.
peronally i think the low quality and scams are a result of the industry being controled by criminals conmen and charlatans were as aboard the companies are legit.
i hope i have touched a few nerves but more importantly opened a discussion on the quality of our porn

So I am working with a scam artist and conman. Its news to me...RS spends plenty on his shoots and his camera is state of the art... He has been around for 20yrs + and has a very good reputation and his videos are top quality...
I lived and worked abroad for 18 yrs and there are more villans and conmen in europe than there is here....the reason being they left the uk because it got too hot for them...
i dont know who you are but I would do some more homework before you start in on the producers in the UK.

Ever stop to think about this: money.

If a producer makes a porn film for the UK market, he's liable to earn as much as 14pence back in profit. You can't distribute it properly thanks to the law, and the Yanks aren't interested. That's why we get low budget home-grown porn.

In the US, they can afford to spunk the money in productions, because the market is bigger and will sustain more sales. They can also export to foreign territories. In the USA, the adult film market is worth $8billion a year. That's more than the mainstream Hollywood market. In the UK, the adult film market is worth 26pence a year. And that's the difference.

When you can't make a decent profit, you can only cover your costs. If hard-core was freely available over here, you'd quickly see the budgets go up. But don'f forget national tastes, too. Brits tend to prefer films where the girls don't try to act and the sex comes sooner rather than later. Americans are stupid and therefore need more of a lead in to a sex scene, otherwise they become confused and frightened. And I've seen One Eyed Jacks' camera. And it's only six months old!

I have looked up "Crackheads in Romford" with BBFC and its not registered so I must assume its not an 18R....18R is what we pay for in this country usually around ?1000 so we can have the privalge to sell our products I just set them a cheque for 5k still I never worked for that I done our local post-office in between collecting my protection money and selling a ringer,
Wise up and stop watching the godfather & The Krays videos.
The market is small mainly due to the piracy,
I was in London on Sunday and there is still loads of shops selling pirates (Ben yours were there) fortunatly mine was not in the shops cause they know I drop in.
They only way the programs will get beter (not there I think there is much wrong with them is SPEND MONEY WITH THE PRODUCERS.
Get onto the web-sites and buy direct. I have a shop on my web-site at www.philmccavity.com and this is a fuc---g advert. So too has all the other producers who give their time to the forum answering some great questions and some crap like this one,
I haven't got the time to list everyones video sales sites etc so perhaps they will advertise themselves which I believe if they are British is firmly on topic

pirates will always be around while the distribution bottleneck the industry operates under, remains in place.

if punters could buy 'fuck truck' from their local sex shop (not one 200 miles away); or via legally avaialable mail order; or hire it from their local blockbuster video store; or watch it on encrypted pay-per-view satellite - then the pirates would lose their captive market and producers like yourself would really start coining it.

it will happen eventually but the sooner the better!

Crackheads in romford is my fave porn film

Crackheads in Romford is pure poetry in action. I think it is knowing that in 10 minutes they will be getting some magic monkey juice - it somehow spurs them on to performances of sustained, magical brilliance.

Do yourselves a favour. Pick up Crackheads in Romford today.

Zasuna is right in pointing out the inadequacies of British porno - who could seriously suggest otherwise? I mean, have I missed something? Has a British company/producer recently made a movie anything remotely like a top Private, Vivid, or Marc Dorcel movie? I'll wager not. But it's not entirely the producer?s fault, there is the capability out there to put on a top class show - there just seems to be a papacy of ambition. The general attitude seems to be that sad, cheapskate, British punters are satisfied with down market crap, so why bother putting the time, money and effort into quality productions? It would be "pearls before swine." I'll grant that there is a major problem with distribution in the UK - which is just what the authorities intended - but producing materiel (downmarket, seedy, nasty, negative) that plays into the hands of the bigots and loonies who oppose porno is not getting us anywhere fast.

It's not essential to have a huge budget to create quality porno - just omit the helicopters and speedboat chases through the Caribbean - but it is essential to recognise what is crap and have a will to do somthing about it.
