I've posted on this subject before () but could really do with some feedback.
I'm still getting horrendous problems with reception. At about 9:25pm tonight the channel was unwatchable for a considerable time. During the last five minutes or so of Sandy's Sexy Stories I was getting one frame every few seconds. The longest continuous picture I got was the final ten seconds.
Could anyone who watches the channel regularly please say whether or not they are having the same problem? I need to know if the fault is at my end or theirs. At the moment, as I have never had similar difficulties with any other channel, I have to assume the fault is in the transmission.
You will see that apart from their initial interest PS made no further response after I gave them more details. Trying to contact them via their web site is a total waste of time - they never reply, despite their promise to do so.
Please help me out here, I need to know how I should proceed.

Re: Private Spice
You might want to enquire on a dedicated satellite forum like digitalspy or alsat, might get a better response.
Re: Private Spice
It might be that the footprint for that transponder is weaker in your part of the UK than other channels that you watch.
It might be sunspots.
It might be the uplink.
It might be that your dish is not correctly aligned to the satellite.
It might be that your receiver is starting to malfunction (such as getting frequency drift the longer that it's been on).
There are many options but the bottom line is;
If you are the only one with the problem then it's at your end.
If others have the same problem it's at their end.
But if nobody is responding to your thread then the assumption could be that nobody else has the problem and therefore it's the first option.

Re: Private Spice
Thanks for that detailed response, most of which followed my own thinking - with the exeption of frequency drift, which hadn't occurred to me.
Your last point is the reason I have asked for anyone who watches PS to respond, good or bad - if others are having no problem I will know the trouble is at my end. Unfortunately I appear to be one of only two forumites who watch it!
Footprint shouldn't be a problem as I'm in East Anglia - unless their new transponder is pointing somewhere other than the normal Hotbird footprint (I've only had difficulty since the changeover). This is a possibility cos around the same time the programme links featuring TAC presenters stopped, the free promo period started featuring a Fench bird, for a while all the links were in French and they started putting a dual English/French safe sex warning at the start of every show (bit of a turn-off and very boring - I think we all have that message by now). Maybe they're concentrating on France at the expense of the UK - if so, I wish they'd bloody well own up to it.
If it's sunspots or uplink it should surely affect everybody?
If it's dish alignment it ought to affect other channels, but doesn't.
If frequency drift is a factor it might be the opposite of what you say, cos most of my problems seem to be in the first hour or two of switching on - maybe the receiver needs to warm up for a while before the frequency locks in properly. I'm no techie so I don't know about these things.
Thanks again, but I would really like to know if there is anyone, particularly in the East of the UK, who is getting the channel without problems (on a 90cm or smaller dish).
All comments will be gratefully received.

Come on guys - PLEASE help me out here!
I can't believe that no members of this forum watch Private Spice.
PLEASE help me here. If ANYBODY is able to watch this channel without problems of transmission drop-outs PLEASE let me know.
My card is due for renewal and I need to know if the trouble is at my end or the transmission end before I potentially waste another ?130 or so.
