To all would-be trolls out there, we'd like to point out that you're not as anonymous as you might think. Like most web sites, this forum logs your IP address, a unique number given to you by your internet service provider (ISP) every time you log on. In conjunction with your ISP's logs, this can be used to track you down should the need arise.

Vile and downright nasty posts, such as those posted the night before last by "gggggggg" (among other aliases - we know who you are), will be reported to the relevant ISP as a matter of course. They are unlikely to take such matters lightly. In the case of these particular posts I would expect to see BT terminate the service for this individual as a minimum. They would probably consider turning over the information in these posts to the relevant authorities as well.

The same rules must apply here as in any civilized society. Anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated here and if you don't play by the rules then at best you might get away with just having your post deleted, then again you might just end up looking for a new ISP or worse. You have been warned.

Well said. That blokes posts were getting very disturbing. I hope this deters any more nasty posts. Anything threatening or nasty has to be stopped. Most of us probably do not mind the occasional silly post if its humourous or relevent to the topic but that individual was just downright wierd and also breaking the law by making threats. That sort of thing spoils the forum for everyone.

Nice one, Phillip. I'm glad someone's said something cos it was looking like moderators were just deleting the stoopid posts but not really doing much else, while the entire forum was going seriously downhill. I saw the troll's garbage postings last night and would like to add that it's not impossible to discover who someone is when posting to a forum that logs details like IP numbers and other relevant info.

Personally I've had enough of the geek element spoiling what was once a great forum - any progress on that change of venue, guys?

Matt wot you on about change of venue? I love the forum software the way it is because its compatible with my browser. If it is changed it will become an exclusive club for posers like you who have broadband etc. I love this forum but I am not going to shell out more money to access it if it is changed. So stick that in your middle class pipe and smoke it!

I know a guy in the states (works for Hustler who has software that can track a ISP to a a tel no and presumably on to an address using BT etc. I am trying to get more details on it but still waiting. Beats me why they don't go and play on yahoo's forums where no-one is who they say they are anyway. I get a bit pissed when some shithead who has never bought a genuine tape in his life questions quality, and production standards. I know some of you know ten times more than me about even my own movies take old Flint'y he knows more about the industry than the people in it, I hope he turns up at Erotica for his freebies (its just like halloween without the comfort of the masks). Anyway my point is if someone asks about a production or who is in it, or why its cheap or why we don't spend much money I always try to answer. If someone comes on like the idiot the other day "say's he has never seen FT but its crap" then refuses a free copy to view. I think everyone whether they are pro or against it realises his opinion is non valid coz he is an idiot, Even Ben would never refuse free porn, just like me. The key word being FREE.
One point tho I have read some posts saying the producers are complaing about about etc. I am not complaing about shit. Still If I say that I will be accused of blowing my own horn (and I can do that for the beer belly). So, Buy direct from the Producers and increase their budgets.

I was referring to a recent(ish) thread in which a possible change of venue for this forum was chucked in the pot for discussion. I'm sure I'm not imagining this! I don't quite follow your logic that change of venue means broadband access only, or that it would cost money - I think the only change necessary is to stop the trolls from posting their meaningless crap. I mean, a bit is relatively amusing but then it slowly dawns on you that this is all the 'ggggggggg's of life are ever going to actually offer anyone, so they become like shit in the street - so much smaller then you but still irrtating enough to make you wish they weren't there.
