US porno disclaimers

Has anyone ever actually read the disclainers you get on US porn DVD's? I did for the first time yesterday. They're hilarious.

I read the disclaimer on a vid from Excalibur the other day and found it amusing. I now justify my porn collecting as scientific research. Quote:-

IMPORTANT NOTICE: This has been reviewed by experts who found in thier proffessional training and experience that this material has scientific value and does not appeal to the prurient interests of the average adult American.

Who are these proffessional experts? The chaps at Anabolic and Evil Angel perhaps.

Hey, they have to put that bullshit on the covers to deflect attacks from the vociferous 'moral minority? of the religious right. Those sanctimonious knob heads believe that sex is sinful, dirty and immoral and the power of the state should be invoked to stop other folks doing it, reading about it, or watching it!

I say to fuck with em' and would advocate kicking them in the metaphorical (if not physical) bollocks at any and every opportunity!

What i'd like to know is how to get a job as one of these 'professionals'. I'm sure I can be scientific about it. :-)

It's probably similar to the blokes who taste beer for a living. "Quality Control".

The one I had in mind was something like 'this video promotes the view that sexual activity is a healthy part of human interpersonal relationships and seeks to depict modes of sexual activity...it should not however be considered that the activities depicted in this video represent the full extent and all aspects of inter-personal relationships'.

Well shit, y'know... it was American fuckin' Bukkake, for christ's sake.

Man, I don't think I could ever watch a video where that happened.

The network was cheap at the time. It was like $40 for 6 months... and they went out of business 5 months later. I then got 3 free months on the Exxtasy network. (3 channels, much better). So it worked out well. :-)

Fortunately Exxtasy dosn't have the chic.
