This has cropped up a couple of times now, in particular about Andrea Spinks/Nat Vale.......Can any of our regular girls tell us why some will do h/c stills but eschew similar video work? What is the rationale behind it?

Hmmm, quite a difficult one this, but here's my thoughts for what they're worth.
H/C stills shoots are often quite different from video. It's a lot more posed for starters and things never really 'get going' if you get my drift. Maybe the girls feel more comforatble with things that way and don't perceive it as proper fucking.
On the other hand, it's quite usual for both type of shoots to be mixed together. First they'll do a bit of video, stop and do some stills, then on with the video and so on. You never know, maybe the girls you mentioned did it that way but the video parts have never seen the light of day.
There remains quite a hierachy among the models in the porn industry each with their own limits and they generally fall in to a number of groups each one looking down on several others. ie.
1. Bikini and lingerie girls
2. Topless
3. Single girl softcore
4. Girl/girl softcore
5. Boy/girl soft
6. Girl/girl hardcore
7. Boy/girl hardcore
8. Boy/girl hardcore with anal
9. Group hardcore
10. Hardcore with w/s
OK, I'm generalising but that's pretty much the groups I've encountered.
These groupings tend to reveal a number of things about the girls who perform, their 'partners' and their prejudices. The girls who only do topless/ lingerie tend to think girls like me who do hardcore are tarts. We don't like the way they go around with their noses in the air like at the recent Erotica show even though they're all show and no delivery. Same for the models who scam the market and I think we all know who they are.
Some so called partners (male) will allow their girlfriend/wife to do hardcore girl/girl but not girl/boy. Since in both you're getting down to some serious shagging I can't see the difference really except perhaps the male ego!
so there you go. I don't really have the answers and I'm only really speculating. One thing I do know is that the porn world is no different from any other- hierachies, prejudices, anomalies and odd behaviour like in everyday life.

I've seen a few of the Private Castings series where, as you say, the process is very clinical for photo-shoots.
I've no doubt the video technique is broadly similar, which is why I don't understand the reluctance of some girls- if the conditions that you outlined (e.g. boyfriend's "permission") have been fulfilled for the one, why not the other (no pun intended)? Perhaps there's a mental barrier between still shots and the moving image that some girls just can't overcome. It's a shame, but I'll learn to live with it.
I guess it's just gonna remain a mystery, unless we hear from the horse's mouth (no insult intended!).
BTW, I think you've probably got the sexiest voice I've ever heard on vid: I still dig out the Ben tape from time to time!!

I think Wendy always informs us porn anoraks about life on the inside of the industry to a certain degree. I adore the woman since seeing her scene for Uncle Ben. But aside from my adoration of her body, I also think she has the quality of perhaps leading a pornstars union if one was ever set up.
I cannot believe the snobish attitude of the women who do "topless or nude" towards the girls who go the whole hog. I once knew a girl who said hardcore was for inadequate women. I argued so much with her about the rights and wrongs of porn that in the end I dumped her. Or did she dump me? I cant remember. Either way she was a truly unpleasant human being.

sorry to come in late on this thread, but it begged a few of questions, do the girls on wendys chart always start at the low numbers and work their way up? or what percentage go 'straight in' so to speak ? what gives the girls the motivation to 'climb the chart' ? is it extra money or simply the work drying up or curiosity? which one comes with a company car?
