No that is not Vaida / Nicky / Ariana Rich

Re: Vaida (Ariana Rich)
Good points- and the last one was always at the back of my mind.
If a historical justification is needed [not in my O.] it might be found in the
unique way the British industry has evolved in the past [and some would say
present] fairly repressive climate, something that only a few continental nations
have experienced. I don't think any other nation has had such a long [and often
Pyrrhic] struggle against the forces of reaction and neo-Puritanism, frequently
masquerading as well-intentioned paternalism
As a matter of fact I think Corona raises a good point about 'national' databases-
I for one would find such a tool very useful. it might be possible to modify the
database to allow search by nationality, along the lines of EBI- although I wouldn't
like to be the one who had to do the alterations ......

I've answered this before, probably on egafd, but I can't think of an easy search term to find the post at the moment.
Essentially the criteria for inclusion of films are different, making it very difficult to merge the two databases.
BGAFD was first and has always included all the hardcore (including g/g and solo) titles we could find of any performer regardless of where they were made, including American titles and 'underground' mail-order-only made-in-UK titles sold in the 90s before R18 became truly hardcore, e.g. Angels releases.
When we began EGAFD, it was decided that it wasn't feasible to include American titles. Also, its initial focus was the classic era where there was a lot of overlap between hardcore and softcore. As a result there are quite a few softcore films of that era included to help identification. Of course, this overlap also happened in the UK, but we haven't included, for example, Confessions of a Pop Performer in the database because Andee Cromarty was in it.
To sum up - too difficult.
Re where Vaida/Ariana Rich will be merged, that will be decided in the next few days purely on the basis of our convenience - that is which is the least work.

Even were the difficulties surmountable I doubt you'd want the ensuing howls
of protest from all us Little Englanders [accompanied by the polite applause of
about three staunch Europhiles] : -))

Re: Attn BGAFD Admin
I think my concept centers around having everything under one roof, rather than two, all the while separating each country. A map of Europe on the main page could work a treat - a map of Europe including England. Simply by selecting an area of map all would be revealed.
