Do you think porn should be available on TV, provided there are some controls to prevent kids watching?
Do you think the babe channels should be allowed to show stronger material like the used to? Fanny? Arse? Fingering? Girl-on-girl? POV?
Do you think it stupid that encrypted channels can show semen on a womans face but can't show a penis and can't show penetration?
Does it bother you that TV censorship has got tighter every year since Ofcom took over? That Ofcom now control Video On Demand and could start censoring that?
Then sign the government petition http://epetitions.direct.gov.uk/petitions/13222
It will get worse every year as long as the government, MPs and Ofcom think that no-one cares.
YOUR DETAILS ARE CONFIDENTIAL. Under the Data Protection Act no-one can see them, not David Cameron, not an MP, not even the person who set up the petition.
If you are still worried there is no reason why you can't use your middle name and/or your mother's maiden name. The voters register is NOT checked, you don't even need to be a voter.
You must give a genuine postcode. They do not write to it.
You must give your email address and click the link they send, otherwise your vote won't count.
This is a democracy, you can vote for porn!

And what a complete and utter waste of time signing that petition will be...
Re: Who Wants Porn On TV?
There are pro-censorship petitions out there. Don't let them have it all their own way.
Re: Who Wants Porn On TV?
Yes but no government is ever, ever going to agree to the measures you suggest.

Re: Who Wants Porn On TV?
I most definitely do not want to see hardcore porn on my TV. I have kids. Its fine a it is on Skys jiggly channels.
We're having a wild ride battling for freedoms on the internet and basic things like mail order, seeing harder stuff on TV will never ever happen because the big wigs will frown upon it.
Its ok when its accompanied by extreme violence as in Spartacus though.
I've noticed the difference between art and porn is 10 seconds. Just enough time to shock but not enough time to get aroused.

Err, we do not live in a democracy.
We live in an elected dictatorship, and the LibLabCon will take absolutely no notice of any petition that they do not like, That's what sunk the EU referendum petition, which a majority of the LibLabCon didn't like.

The government doesn't have to. Authority is delegated to Ofcom, they just need a nudge and a wink.
Besides we know family members of former ministers watched pay per view porn, senior figures are openly gay and MPs are notorious for affair related marital breakup. Give it a few years and an MP who does not accept that porn is part of a normal healthy sex life will be seen as a bit odd.

Re: Who Wants Porn On TV?
No-one is suggesting hard core porn on BBC1. The Sky jiggy channels are TV.
The only suggestion for hard core porn is that it is allowed on pay per view channels after midnight with age verification (credit card payment, PIN or similar). That could be Sky or Freeview. Kids shouldn't be watching after midnight. Is that enough protection?

The Lover's Guide with it's cert 18 explicit sex scenes hit the high street under John Major's Conservative government so these things can happen.
Full strength R18 was finally allowed in sex shops when Jack Straw was Home Secretary. The Government opposed it but there was no backlash.

Re: Who Wants Porn On TV?
Jack Straw did not allow R18 material. He stopped the BBFC from passing it. It was only when the BBFC lost an appeal by a few distributors that they sought to get clarification on what they could and couldn't show and a judge ruled that they could show hardcore porn. Jack Straw fucked off and sulked in a corner somewhere.
