Technical help wth downloadig mpgs and avis

Please can anyone help me with advice on how many I can download at the same time I have only tried staggering two up to now but whether I can do any more without harming my computer. Some short clips take so long to download the length of them seem out of proportion to the time taken to download. Many thanks to whoever can give me some advice

Use something like FlashGet or Net Pumper - it splits the files up into segements whilst downloading and you can stop and start the download when ever you want. Easier to download and faster.

Do a search on google for them.

Alternatively go for Blue Yonder Broardband.

I use a Download Manager Real Download(allows 4 at a time)

Just beware especially when on paysites that there will usually be a limit
Multiple downloads are discouraged purely so all members get a fair chance to download

Personally I only download 1 at a time just to be on the safe side

Nothing worse than a download being corrupted half way through
