I am constantly being refused membership subs. by that pisspoor billing agency. Do other forumites have problems with them?

Yes & No
Seems to depend on the website but its mpost likely their system
which is why all smart webmasters will have 2 billers
As for customer service CCbill suck
Receiving no response to repeated emails just shows a distinct lack of professionalism.
Think on the bright side Mart...all that money your saving
If you really want to gain access to a site email the webmaster
He's more likely to treat you seriously than the likes of CCbill
cheers

Some card companies like Visa are trying to prevent access to adult sites via a credit card.....this may be one of the problems you encounter.

They are bloody useless...i've been turned down approx 4/5 times by their sign up page...I think their main problem is the "which state" section which they don't seem to "understand" doesn't apply to the UK customers!...is it me or do we seem to be going backwards on the www?!

The State issue shouldn't make any difference
A while back only the American states were listed and even though I'm in Australia they still accepted my payment
Sometimes you will find there is a double dot option .. right down the bottom of the states listing which you need to use in place of it
The other alternative is that CCbill are just rejecting your card and giving you no logical reason-all down to the programmers
cheers

Re: CCBill-what a pants outfit
All the Credit Card processors are getting more and more careful with their processing.
In early October Visa introduced a 1% chargeback limit (previously it was 2.5%), so if I understand this correctly, the processing company must not exceed chargebacks in excess of 1% of their transactions. If they do I am not sure if they loose their ability to process or get hit with huge financial penalties, but the result is that the processors are now declining more transactions, but never give out a reason why.
We have seen our declines on the site increase dramatically this month, so I am sure the above reason is why.
In my opinion I think really the fault likes with Visa and Mastercard, as they have successfully managed to close down many of the smaller processors like Globill etc, and have now got the biggers boys like CCBill running scared and so they are now being ultra careful.
In my past history with these processors, I would say in the defence of CCBill that their support has been good, and don't decline as many as IBill that I have found really bad.
Hope this helps.
