Sounds like a load of baloney to me
A computer programmer that had his computer rendered useless for 2 months due to pop-ups & incoming SPAM...something smells fishy to me
Obviously not a qualified programmer
I'm no brain surgeon but have managed to hold the spam & pop-ups at bay with a few basic programs

That day is a long way off
Like our Aussie government has just passed useless legislation which only
has afects those spamming from within Australia
So the spammers will go off shore and on their merry way
The only effective current remedy
Spam Washer at
One piece of spam got through in 4 weeks of use
Thats 1 out of 2000

I run adaware,spybot & cw shredder every day
If in doubt that your system is clean you only need run the program hijack this and post the results to
The experts will tell you if there is anything that need removing
Even after removing all spyware from your system it only takes one misuse of your email addy by whoever for it to become spam city which is why spam washer programs are a necessity IMHO
