Just been listening to Generation Terrorists by the Manics and as you are probably aware TRACI LORDS shared the vocals with JDB on "Little baby nothing". Have any other porn stars made similar efforts, good or not quite so good?.
Porn star singers
Re: Porn star singers
Great choice of listening material, its always good to remember that the record was 1992 (rather than current obviously) and traci lords controversy and notoriety was pretty well up there at that time. Funny really how she managed to get in contact with a band only recording their debut.....

Lindsey or Ben used to be the drummer in the second Bay City Rollers.
Re: Porn star singers
Michelle Thorne does a bit of singing (MOR, though), and there was the bunch who did Porn- the Musical, with varying degrees of competence.........

Re: Porn star singers
I wonder who came up with the idea of the collaboration and also how it was finalised because ,as you say, she probably wasn't as aware of them living in Blackwood as they were of her.I am actually listening at the moment to the manics back catalogue in chronological order.Great stuff!.

Re: Porn star singers
Now you mention it it's probably only a matter of time before some record company twat decides to form a "Porn Band" or some such bollocks. On the other hand there's a few examples of rock'n'rollers diversifying into a bit of porno', Vince Neil from Motley Crue for example and I think Snoop Dog has directed a few videos for Hustler.

Re: Porn star singers
Manics are the only british band in my opinion who REALLY qualify as good enough to join my fav american bands which ive mentioned many times now on here (the grunge and late 80s rock lot)......they were and are really a perfect band, lyrics, vocals, riffs, overall sound, sheer quality, image etc. just a shame they are massive and appreciated but it feels like its for the wrong reason (ie...few catchy singles)
