boys in blue out in force today

i could'nt help but notice that the police were out in force today everywhere i'd been on my travels.
each time that i saw one of our saviours in blue he had his little note book out and was standing next to a parked vehicle.
this got me thinking (i do sometimes) of course its the beginning of the month they were booking people for lapse of tax.
its a pity they are not around when a real crime is being commited and the police wonder why people are against them
