isnt he the one who said he would do it again if he was released and the did...he also said he shouldve been locked up longer. Imagine the mentality behind that, so self aware yet still unable to control himself? I saw this young USA child killer on tv once who said he wanted to be killed the way his last victim was killed as a form of attempted justice, he seemed so normal and regretful he couldnt control himself....bit weird

He sounds quite sane & extremely dangerous to me. If he stated that he would re-offend & then did so. I have to question why the taxpayer should be prepared to keep him incarcerated at great expense to fulfil no useful purpose in society. A prime candidate for mandatory euthanasia if ever I heard one.

I'm intrigued: 'mandatory euthanasia'.
Isn't that just a euphemism for murder, judicial or otherwise?

And how, exactly, would the threat of capital punishment have 'deterred' this individual? By all means kill this individual- but don't suggest it's either justice, or civilised behaviour.

"..... branded a barbarian for suggesting a less civilised way.......".
Yes: barbarians ARE less civilised: that's the precise meaning of the term 'barbarian'.

Although, of course, the original Greek reference was to bearded ones.

.........I had it that when they spoke their foreign lingo, it sounded like
'bar...bar...bar' to the Greeks.

If this case is not bad enough, there is another even worse one being heard at Plymouth Crown Court currently, where it is alleged that a fifteen year old boy totured a 9 month old to death.

It is often wrongly assumed that when the Roman Empire converted to Christianity in the early part of the 4th century, the unpleasant excesses of that Empire ceased e.g. the games. This was not the case. They did not cease until Rome was overrun by the so-called barbarians.
