Yes, LW - I know what you mean about JA's voice. Jumpers for goalposts, next goals the winner. Maybe it's me being prey to yet another heavy dose of nostalgia but he is very knowledgeable and always gives me insight.

Yet he remains a very rare bird in football - very well regarded by people throughout the game. A great player, very good manager at Bolton and Leeds (he took over from Clough and took them to the 1975 European Cup Final). A gentleman and an intelligent pundit who doesn't scream at me through the radio or tv.

He has a rare feel for the game and is usually called in by the FA to help choose England managers. (Maybe not such a good thing on the cv !).

Agree about Trev - seems such a nice bloke but not one to summon up the blood.

Andy Townsend is one for the future as they say. He's been on TalkSport as a presenter and compares well to the other cretins on there. Someone should get him on BBC for the next season of Match of the Day or even take over from the hapless John Barnes on Channel 5.
