Beer, like many of the finer things in life, is an acquired taste (quite WHY you're supposed to acquire it I'm not sure, but there you go.....), and Holden's tastebuds are probably still at the foetal stage, where all that sweet stuff is popular.
For adults, Coke has one purpose: to disguise the taste of the Bacardi you're using by the gallon to get her pissed enough even to contemplate shagging you.

Best beer? Any beer paid for by someone else.

It is quite funny how each region of the country has it's own best selling beer, in Scotland the most Lager sold is usually 'Tenants', in England it's probably Carling, Ale Wise in Manchester it's probably 'Boddingtons', Wales it's 'Brains' etc. Up here in Scotland Scottish & Newcastle Breweries is closing it's biggest brewing site in Edinburgh after 200/300 years of brewing activity on the site just because taste has changed and most Scots prefer Kronenbourg, Fosters etc rather than those beers produced for the last umpteen years, before long we will be force fed any old shit.

Well actually sir, I have only ever drunk 4 times in my life. As a result, I have been drunk 4 times in my life.
Tastes like piss and doesn't do sod all for me other than kept waking up nude under a car with keys up my arse.
Also I have to keep in shape for work and all that bollocks.
Coke is good at the end of a long session as I have a huge sugar rush craving.
