And isn't it true that you don't need a passport to travel to Mexico or Canada?
Back in England it's possible to fly on easyJet to somewhere like Prague for about $60 return. For Americans to travel to Europe you're looking at the best part of $1,000. A big difference.
Most of the Americans I've met so far have been intelligent, well-read and well-travelled although they've mostly been lawyers so have the resources to do both.
I did meet a woman at a wedding the other week who claimed that immigration should be stopped into the US because "it's full up". Don't quite know how she worked that one out!
Anyway, I'm going to see Fahrenheit 9/11 this week so will report back with a brief review.

Great news that the film has beaten all previous box office records for a documentary. Even better if everyone who will see this in the US votes against Bush in November as by the numbers it looks like it will be millions and millions of people who will see this film.

on the rest of the story...sorry, but thats simply being intellectually dishonest. It makes the film less of a doccumentary and more of an entertainment piece...and not that entertaining, no matter what you think of gun ownership. "
Bimmercat, I'd be interested to know the "full" story on this. How did the boy manage to get access to a loaded gun?
As Bill Hicks once said, when comparing the statistics between the UK and USA for gun related deaths, "there's no link between having a gun and killing someone and not having a gun and not killing someone, and you'd have to be a liar or a communist to make the connection"

Do you realise how ineffective your diatribes are Bimmercat?
In fact I suspect they are counter productive. If you recommend something I will avoid it like the plague.
If you dislike something that puts it on my must see, must read list.
