as has been explained previously, on more than one occasion, if a post that breaches the faq meets with a critical but constructive response from other forumites before coming to the attention of the moderators, it *may* be left up depending on the particular context.

THAT is the reason the thread you refer to was left up. however, i wouldn't expect any explanation on our part to assuage your long established sense of paranoia when it comes to supposed favouritism on our part towards industry posters.
