I'm amazed how many 'puter users still don't have anti-virus or firewall.

Didn't know you went in for cannibalism still in Oz Deuce.

Theory Number 1.

Some people(older computers) haven't got enough RAM to operate the security software & surf at the same time

I've ditched my firewall...overrated piece of junk

Given that I just did 2 tests at grc.com and got flying colors for security on one and bagged on another

I think with setting all the active x security settings, disabling java script
and running all the programs that block the baddies should be enough

Cannibalism?...I not understand

Springboks from South Africa and last time I looked it was different Continent

yours dimly

I was hoping that the article would help solve a problem I've got accessing the Webcam pages in a particular site. I thought it might be my security settings but it isn't that simple. Sometimes I can access the required pages, othertimes not. I'm wondering where best to post a cry for help.
BTW have you noticed that the article only says what some of the settings should be, I don't know what the other ones should be?

Sounds like the problem is more than likely to be the websites themselves and how they have been set-up

Never under estimate that they might be listed in the huge amount of baddies listed on IESpyad,Spyblaster & Spybot if your running them

Firewalls are well known for blocking sites but Anti-Virus programs are just as bad.I'm currently trying to figure out how Norton Anti-Virus keeps freezing Yahoo Games but not other similar sites.....frustrating enough to make you pull your hair out

You really need a Techy Expert who can diagnose the reason on the spot
when it happens...time to become an IT professional perhaps?

I hear with the IT help line jobs being out sourced overseas getting in is easy

I've tried accessing it with my ZoneAlarm disabled, no difference.
Perhaps I'll risk an attempt with my anti-virus disabled. But for that site only.
