Just been afflicted by this pain in the bum adware/spyware.
Never mind the home page being hijacked,and the pop-ups,it even seems to be periodically disconnecting me.

Did a search and know it's been discussed here before -though quite a while ago.And some of the links suggested to remove it are dead.

I've tried Spybot (in "lizards locker" in the "miscellany" section) and also a programme called NoAdware (that isn't).Both removed a lot of crap but not that particular one (typical)

Point is,before I work thru every known possible solution,does anyone have a definitive answer re getting rid of it.

Sensible answers plse cos this is getting beyond a joke

Try a Google or other search. There's a lot about it on the internet.

You could try running the uninstall program from the coolsearch homepage



Apart form that CW SHredder is always good at removing what adaware & spybot choose to miss



Personally I'd try CW SHredder first

CW Shredder I'll certainly try - but before doing so..........

Anyone who's had it and got rid of it,please let all us poor unfortunates know exactly what you used.
Cos they'll be more than a few reading this who've got it !

Even if someone posts and says this is how I successfully got rid of it
unless they have a similar system to yours its really is a waste of INFO IMHO

Which is why answers to any computer problems are best coming from forums for those operating systems
