Went to the Transport Museum in Coventry today as a mark of respect for Jaguar Cars closing its main factory in Coventry, but soon got bored of looking at Jags...........until I saw the Thrust 2 model that broke the sound barrier and THEN SOME a few years back (758mph) Got to sit in a simulator with the screen exactly how it was when he took the record. FUCK ME!!! It was brilliant, how he kept it from flipping over is beyond me.
If you are in The Midlands, I beg you to get yer arses into the city centre and experience this simulator. Its ALL free, and well worth spending a good few hours at.
The sudden jerk you feel as the parachute is deployed is mind numbing.
