Alan Moore interview

Post by Guilbert »

Before today I was not aware of the name Alan Moore
but heard an interview with him on Radio 4 at 6.30pm.

The show was chain reaction.

Sounds an amazing interesting guy. His web site is

For those that want to hear it go to radio 4 web site and
select 'listen again'

The idea of Chain Reaction is that one week person A interviews
person B, then the next week person B interviews person C and
so on in a chain reaction.

So far they have had a number of comedians including Johnny
Vegas, Matt Lucas and Stuart Lee.

Read 'Watchmen'.....Alan Moore is perhaps the most famous writer of comics there has ever been, outside of Stan Lee. Unlike Lee, however, Moore is taken very seriously by a number of literary and intellectual heavyweights.

He also wrote 'From Hell' and 'League of Extraordinary Gentlemen' before they were both made into vastly inferior films. The rest of his output is almost too numerous to list, but it's all good, especially his run on 'Swamp Thing'.

Trust me, you'll be doing yourself a big favour by checking out any of his works....

I believe Moore is getting to grips with Brian Eno on the next installment of Chain Reaction...should be fun!
