Where is the best place to put drivers when downloading anyway?
I already downloaded the latest Twain driver (now why does that sound like Jonathan Ross 'talking'!?), and another file (the one from Download Driver), and placed them in a Drivers folder I created in my Epson folder within Program Files.
Was this the right place to put it though?
Off to work soon, so don't take any lack of reply for a while as rudeness!
Getting a scanner working
Re: Getting a scanner working
Where to put drivers? Good Q. I've always felt like an idiot because often you are given no idea where a download should go.

Re: Getting a scanner working
Genie, i had the same problem with my scanner it was a brand new model.
I loaded via the CD-rom and the website and couldn't get it working ( i use Win98 SE). It only stardted after updating some windows update files last June/July. Mate i even tried Canon support and after a month sending messages and the like i couldn't get it working.
I'm pretty sure its something in one of those Windows updates that screwed up using my scanner.

Thanks, I might have tried it, but I'll give it a go anyway...but trying to put aside an hour or two to contact their support, as I know from experience how long these things take...
