If I won a pair, I'd auction them off, and make sure a charity got the money, I'm serious, I wouldnt be interested in standing in Hyde park waiting for Floyd to come on all day, they aren't exactly gonna do a long set, I reckon 1/2 hr maybe, another brick in the wall, money, wish you were here, I'm hoping for Comfortably Numb at least, a fan's dream to see & hear Roger & David sing it together how it was on the album, and at the Wall 80/81 shows.
Even though I bought the recent Live aid box set, there was only a few acts that I wanted to see, Queen, even Gilmour backing Brian Ferry on a few songs, but some crap on there, Status quo are crap, they even admit there were coked outta there heads on stage then, I really like Coldplay's new album so at least a few acts worth watching, U2's new album was pretty good, and Dido can always go in the toss bank for later if its a nice hot day and she's wearing something skimpy

Nick Mason interview RE Live 8

Post by Arnold Layne »

Mates: They're resisted every effort to get back together, until Bob Geldof got on the phone...

Mason: He was really looking for a real novelty act! To reconstitute this particular line-up of this particular band, was a great idea, and it was really Bob promoting this.

Mates: He got on the phone to you all?

Mason: Yeah. He started with David, and then he worked his way around. I think he was probably as surprised as we were!

Richard Curtis said to me, 'Well, look, if the Pink Floyd can agree on what to play, surely the G8 summit can agree on what to do, to sort out Africa'.

Mates: The band have agreed to play four of their classic numbers. Which ones, we'll have to wait and see...

Mason: Hopefully they'll be fairly slow numbers, because at my advanced stage I don't want anything too fast!

Mates: What are your hopes for the day?

Mason: I think a bit like the original Live Aid - what one would like, is for it to be utterly memorable; for everyone who was there to remember it as a really important and great event

Hi,

Why do you think it cannot be Recorded just because it's on SKY PPV???

I'm sure you would be able to link via the scart a little black box which will "Normalise" the video signal being carried out from the Digibox to either a DVD or Video Recorder.

Put it like this i Recorded a couple of PPV Fights shown on SKY recently, no probs at all !!!

Cheers
