The alleged teeny gangstas who allegedly shot up the christening party in London at the weekend, shooting a woman in the head, was bad. But just when you think you're no longer able to be shocked any more, this happens:



What sort of retarded people would do something like this? Will they be boasting to their mates about it, and bask in the glow of the admiration of their peers. There are times when I think this planet would be much better off without our species. Utter cowardly bastards---but I bet they think they're heroes and have "respect" from their community.

Yeah, to right. And what about last week? Did you hear about the incident in Middlesbrough, where a youth in a tracksuit tried to grab a baby girl from her pushchair and when that proved unsuccessful he punched her in the face a few times and ran off? To my mind Middlesbrough + youth + tracksuit = chav. And have you noticed how these kinds of incidents (once rare) are rapidly becoming a daily occurrence?

The toddler puncher was apparently out of his head on drink or drugs, which is worrying enough. But this attack is much more sinister, and sounds pre-meditated.

And the guy suspected of killing the 11 year old in Livingston, and who topped himself at the weekend, had been on bail after being charged with sex offences against children.

It's a fine world. I know there's a presumption of innocence as a cornerstone of our legal systems, but the legal eagles must also look closely at a possible threat to the public. With premeditated murder, life should mean life.

Releasing sex offenders into a an unknowing community is also sick, playing Russian roulette with people's lives.

I consider myself a liberal, but if you do the crime you should also do the time. A 13-year sentence will see the kiddie's killer out before he's 40. His victim, of course, has had his life terminated. No reprieve or second chance for him.

I agree that as regards premeditated murder life should mean life. This is because I dont agree with the death penalty, because mistakes cannot be rectified and experience has shown that there have been a few mistakes.

I always think that If a person says that they believe in the death penalty then they have to be able to say (and its probably much easier said when they are not on the execution trap) that if they are innocent and yet they have been shown in error to be guilty, then they will accept their own execution on the grounds that they believe in the system and that it works most of the time!

We now have the situation where I am sure a lot of people say that they would like the death penalty brought back and perhaps may not be saying this if murderers were serving proper 'life' sentences.

I did wonder when the police stated that the woman arrested yesterday, and later bailed, was not the mother. That kind of suggested she was under suspicion.

Whoever was responsible, it's still a horrible crime.

Always seemed suspicious ... a young mother (in a poor area of town) attacked in her home by strangers for no apparent reason. It's such a rare event, there was always about a 90% probability she did it.
