just had to contribute....i LOVE porridge and most of it was probably made well before i was even born. fawlty towers and porridge are about the only sitcoms from yesteryear i actually enjoy and watch regularly....says a lot...

Sorry, Fudge, can't find a link, but heard that they were running an "exclusive" claiming Mr B died of a broken heart due to his son being arrested on some child porn charges.

It's not on their website; a normal trick is to run these things in later editions to avoid others picking up your "scoop."

If the info I heard is true, and that is the story they're running, then it's obvious common decency is just too common for them. I hope to hell it isn't right. And if it is, I hope they are happy to give the grieving widow something to take her mind off her loss.
