Ive been to the barbers today i thought about Sweeney Todd when he got the cut throat out, and yes Mrs Lovett was one sexy gal mind you she was well poxed up before Sweeney cut her throat.

Sweeney Todd, if he existed, was at work during the 1780s or 90s. Jack the Ripper was 1888 or thereabouts.

Yeah people didn't wear that clobber in the Victorian era. I must admit I didn't think the story was set during 18th century I always had this image in me head that it was from the 19th. I suppose its the Dickensian London thing us northern folk think of. It was good though wasn't it? I do like Ray Winstone, he'd make a good Bill Sykes too. Probably already done that for all I know!
