Cyberhome CH-DVD300 player

I did not find a suitable topic to include this as a response.
I can now properly recommend the Cyberhome CH-DVD300 player as a suitable model for those of you on EGAFD who seek an inexpensive all-region DVD player.
I was given a gift card for BestBuy, an electronics chain here in the U.S.A.
After Xmas, I went to a nearby store and found it on sale for $39.95. Supposedly, I might even get a ten-dollar rebate on it. (BestBuy is testing an on-line rebate redemption scheme.)
There is a published software hack at this forum (Anonymized to hide the referrer. Also, this link might be technically illegal in the U.S.A. [D.M.C.A.] !furious! ) which informs the purchaser how to modify the player from playing only Region 1 discs (which is how it is shipped to the U.S.A.) to change the setting to Region 0, which will enable him | her to play discs from all regions, including Region 2. !grin!
I have tested mine with a Region 2 DVD from Japan [NTSC], and it plays.
Look for the Cyberhome CH-DVD300 player at a purveyor, or on-line.
