thinking of buying a game off ebay

hi i was thinking about getting call of duty 2 off ebay.Just wondered though will i still be able to play it online,because if it's second hand and the person that owned it last played it online won't that mean it's already Regisered

Could do worse than ask the seller if he has played it online I suppose and if so will you be able to do so, what is it the xbox360 or pc version??
PEOPLE think Stephen Hawking is so clever, but when you ask him a question and he is typing in the answer on his little screen, how do we know he isn't just looking up the answer on the Internet?

I sold an internet pc game which I had not played but registered. The Buyer could not play it so I refunded him (only ?1.50 so didn't break the bank) Probably worth buying new just in case.
