I don't mind Keane, but the appeal of Coldplay escapes me.

With every passing year, The Smiths seem much much more important to British music. As I've said before, any band whose new single was almost inevitably followed by a Tory/Daily Mail call for it to be banned must be doing something right.

It is possible, though, to like Morrissey, Leonard Cohen and Pink Floyd, and still want to beat the crap out of that little squirt Jamie Cullum!

Pink Floyd up to Roger Waters' departure are listenable. Gilmour is too wishy-washy as his new album testifies.
