Does anyone else on here gamble on the Betfair exchange, i have been betting on the Dow Jones this evening and its been trading within a narrow margin within a few points just up or down, i done my last trade in the dying seconds and laid a bet for it to go down at 2.0 when i checked my account it stated that i had laid the bet at 22.0 but was settled at 12.0, well i won the bet as the Dow finished 7.6 up so im not complaining, but my point is had i have lost and the bet been settled at the bigger odds then i would not have been such a happy easter bunny and just wondered if any of you who use the exchange had experienced this.

I have used it in the past but I found that to try to keep one step ahead then I had to keep looking at Betfair continuously and it became monotonous and the enjoyment went out of it for me.

I still bet but mainly sports betting and the conventional way.

Hi Pretty_Joe, you can get 8.4 on England to win the world cup on betfair at the moment thats about 15-2 in real odds, the best the bookies are offering is 6-1 i will have a small wager on them as i remember them winning in 1966 so fourty years on we must be due for another win, the fancied horse on betfair for today is Baan in the 2.35 at Newmarket you should be able to get around 8-1 if you get in early could be worth an E.W. bet!happy!

No the horse didnt win but on betfair you can lay it to lose, so if you get on early and back it to win at good odds then nearer to the race as the price comes in you then lay it at shorter odds so if it loses you get your stake back and if it wins you pocket the difference.
