Two things that I believe should NOT be charities in the UK

Air Ambulance

Life Boat

Also there are a number hospices that depend on donations. Once things like this are all funded well, then Bono, Mr Brown aka 'ole one eye and anyone else, i will look towards the land of corruption, aka Africa.

short but sweet from me....for once !!

Agree about the Lifeboats - why this isn't paid for by tax has always made no sense to me.

They could end corporate welfare to fat cats and massive subsidies to arms companies. They should have a charity telethon for them instead and see how much they raise.

Up North Big Issue sellers aren't allowed to do what you say they have done.

They have strick code of conduct standards and sellers are checked to make sure the standards are maintained.

Don't know your location but I am sure the Big Issue would be interested in knowing the exact location were this took place, especially as sellers have designated pitches and from what you describe this person wasn't in one of them.

Mart surely your not suggesting people make things up in some sort of attempt to make themselves look big and / or clever on these boards?
