Pessimistic tw*t! So they played shite until changes were made. Owen isn't match fit by any standard. Should be sent home. But, second half, they upped the tempo. Aaron Lennon was fantastic. Rooney is finding his feet. Better things are to come. Stop being such a knob. It's no wonder that morale is low among England fans on the whole when we have cynicism like your's. Take a look at Brazil the other night. Were they anything outstanding? No. Yet people have raved and raved about them. Stop focusing on the negative. Look at the positive. Gerrard's goal was outstanding. Seriously, is it any wonder that the English are perceived as dull, miserable fuckers who sit there drowning their sorrows over a pint of beer while sat on their bar stool? There's no getting away from the fact that England were piss-poor yesterday...Lampard was definitely having an off day. Still, we've played two, won two, and have yet to concede a goal, so it's not all bad. And we scored in the second half of a World Cup game...twice!!!

One thing that puzzles me though...when we bring a right winger on (Lennon), why do we take a right back off? Is there some unwritten law that says Beckham cannot be substituted, no matter how poorly he might be playing? I know there was all the furore about the FA's England manager selection process, of which 'plans for Beckham?' was apparently one of the questions, and I've seen Sam Allardyce hint about it in an interview as well. I tend to think we'd shift more merchandise as World Champions than we do as being the perennial nearly-men who happen to have David Beckham in the team.

Oh, and Rudey...I know Monica Sweetheart was at the Czech Republic/ USA match. As for Czech birds in general, I see the Daily Star have got Zuzana Drabinova (aka 'Raylene Richards' to US audiences) as their newest Page 3 girl, yet have inexplicably failed to do a shoot of her in the Czech kit (but they have shot her in St. George's cross panties, oddly enough...).

Funny, the fact that she's done a bunch of topshelf work doesn't seemed to have stopped her making it on to Page 3, despite most Zoo/Nuts wannabe type models believing it's the kiss of death to their P3 careers (which haven't taken off yet).

Compare Englands 2-0 defeat of Trinidad with Argentinas 6-0 demolition of serbia! Its a no brainer! I am an England fan but further I am a football fan. The England team are not good enough! The FA and its technical committee need to get back to basics and sort the English game out. Crouch wouldnt get into Argentinas C team. Lampard goes missing against quality opposition, Beckham - a one trick pony, etc etc come on guys get real!
