I dont think he was 'framed'.The jury who heard all the evidence thought he had and his appeals have failed.Personally I think they got it right.

I recall many of the police press conferences for murders over the years. Many times they have been played back on the news after a trial and the person there on the screen looking anguished was the one who had done the deed! Do you remember Huntley going on Sky News..another example. And remember..Bamber 'he would say that wouldn't he'.

Fascinating case. I grew up in his neck of the woods and know a few people that knew him and opinion is divided to this day as to wether or not he did it.

I think he's up for parole in a few years. Cue thunder effects.

Its the old routine , isn't it....that bank manager's husband from Hoylake, remember him?

They always do that with suspects they want to 'break'.

What I read at the time didn't seem too convincing re his guilt but as stated earlier, the Jury heard more than the casual reader.

As an aside, didn't watch the Panorama show on the murder of Jill Dando earlier this week but thought at the time with all the "evidence" that came out in the papers, Barry George was bloody unlucky to be found guilty.
