The fact is prisons are overcrowded so inmates are released early to make room for others being sent down, since New Labour came to power the prison population has reached full capacity ,now there could be several reasons for this either the goverment has got tough on law and order or we now have better detection rates or perhaps more people are commiting crime and i suspect its the latter which is probably due this goverments soft approach on drugs !sad!

I know something about who the authorities let out because I was convicted of murder! The guy I killed attacked me in my own home, wounded me and intended to kill everyone in the house, including three children. The idea was that I was "high on drugs" and had slaughtered my family. I had this from the horses mouth a detective.
He was a Soho gangster with three prevoius convictions for violence. His last conviction was for malicious wounding. He slashed a club hostess, one Pamela Spencer,inserting a knife into her vagina and slashing her up to her breasts! He had taken up a contract on me the pornographer.
I make no apologies for killing him. When I got inside I soon found out quickly who got out first. An old con said to me that"you will do longer because you killed a man! The domestics get out the quickest." Domestics are mainly people who have killed their wives or kids.
One particular guy I knew killed his kid by swinging it around and smashing out its brains on a mantlepiece. He done six years, then was released to kill his wife. He still got out before me and I did ten years a relatively short time for someone who has killed a man. The saying was that if you were innocent you did ten. The average was about twenty. I have no other convictions for violence.
