Saddam he was head of a sovereign state. It was a war between Shites and Shias. What has it got to do with the defence of the United Kingdom?
Nothing the same as Saddam had nothing to do with Al Quaeda. The American state put Saddam in there to stop the spread of Muslim Fundamentalism in the Middle East.

Coalition forces have killed half a million people,most of thenm civilians. They went to war to stop Saddam using his weapons of "mass destruction." Now we know he had nothing to do with weapons of mass destruction and was no military threat to the security of this country at all.
Who the should be in the dock. Why not the guilty men, the conspirators and perpetrators of mass murder in Iraq. Why hang Saddam? He ived a very different and dangerous life to us here in the UK. The appeal system is different in this case he only has a month in which to claim a successfull apeal, if that doesn,t happen All within 30 days, it,s the wooden pyjama,s for the cunt!, now if only they could find those responsible for the Sebian/Croation mess..

I am by no means a fan of the man by a long shot but something stinks like shit stew. If this man is going to be hanged for war crimes then what about Bush and Blair hiding in the guise of bombing Iraq when all it was really about was oil and riding on the (valid) hysteria of 9/11.

Why dont we just be honest and say the guy served his purpose keeping the fundamentalists in line and now he can serve a greater need of seeing him dead because it is a notch up against terrorism. Why would anyone want to incur the wrath of America when he was quite comfy ruling the roost at home in Iraq?

If he really is guilty of it, then hanging is too good for him anyway but I cant help but agree it is good timing to satisfy the bloodlust of the Bush voters.
