Retreiving data from a multisesion DVD - Advice

Is there anyway to access data from a multisession DVD without buying expensive software?

I can access session 2 with windows explorer, but not session 1 which contains the bulk of the data (wmv and jpeg files).

Is the disc closed? I'll put money on it being this.

If not CloneCD might be able to rip the disc to the HDD, and then you would need mount the image or re-burn. It should handle any read errors. Or you could try ISOBuster to read the disc and possibly extract, if you do not get a reasonable table of contents (just Track01 or something like that), the recording session definitely broke but try it in a different reading drive first.

Thanks for that advice Jacques !thumbsup! , I ripped the data with CloneCD and then burned a new disc.

Everythings fine now on the new DVD !pleased!
