Dont really know that much about the fella to be honest. But listen to his voice on raw hide and it is amazing!! But still not a patch on Jake and Elwood!! But one of the last of his generation if not the last

To be honest, Ace, I'm surprised that the Fisher Brothers didn't beat me to it.

I had heard of him but "Rawhide" is the only song I knew but didn't know he made.

Dont forget, he did the rather over the top title song to 'Blazzing Saddles'. Mel Brooks didn't tell him it was a comedy, and Frankie gave it his all thinking it would be a film like 'High Noon'. He took it in good humour apparently, though was very embarrassed at the premiere.

MY mum will be gutted, she rated him better than Sinatra Live.
