"In The Heat Of The Night" (1967)

Sidney Poitier and Rod Steiger.

If I remember, the policeman being diverted was Warren Oates.

er... yes! In my haste to post I forgot that what the scope (and camera) sees is upside down.

First time I've used the Mead. Got it s/h off ebay just in time for last night, but being a man I've not read the instructions yet! Just attached it to the telescope eyepiece, plugged it into the lap top, loaded the software and clicked "start". I'm sure there's more to it than that, but I'm pleased for a first attempt.

Bet you never ask for directions if you get lost either.

It's rare that I get lost... one thing I've always had is a good sense of direction.

If I'm going somewhere I don't know (for example the other day I had a lunchtime stag show in Truro followed by an evening show in Nuneaton) I use a TomTom. Before the days of SatNav I used to write down basic directions with road numbers or names on a piece of paper which would then be sellotaped to the dashboard.
