I have very limited technical knowledge and am looking for some easy to use HD editing softwares.Any advice from some of you professional guys already editing in HD will be very much appreciated.Thanks in advance.

We use, Avid Liquid 7 for most big stuff and final cut for portable and fast stuff. You need a serious PC to run it well. Dual processor with plenty RAM. If you are serious I could get you a spec.
