On TV Tonight - Best "worst" film of all time

Post by Guilbert »

Some films are bad, but some films are so bad they become "good" in a strange sort of way.

Tonight, Saturday 7th April, on Channel 5 at 6:15pm is one of those films.

It is The Ambushers with Dean Martin.

It was made after the success of the James Bond films, when everyone seemed to want to make a spy spoof, and is the film Mike Myers used as the basis for Austin Powers.

The story is awful, the acting is awful, the special effects are awful.

Dean Martin seems drunk most of the time, and is unbelievably sexist when he talks to any woman.

If you fancy a laugh then watch it tonight.

I've seen this one, it's a belter, nearly as good as 'Our man Flint', starring James Coburn. Now that was utter shite, Yeah baby!

I thought at first that this was the masterpiece in which Sharon Tate falls down & you get to see her panties (or should I say 'knickers' in deference to Mr. Cleese??) but checking Google I see it is not, so carry on....
