Though if the Dr is still in the matrix gallifrey may well still exist and the whole block transfer thing really screwed up the universe. My thinking on the master was that since he was absorbed by the tardis in the film (sucked into the eye of harmony) when the the tardis energy was released (end of the eccleston era), due to the master being the ultimate evil and no longer really a being of matter he had somehow managed to survive and escaped with the energy and would simply possess a new body as he did to become the Anthony Ainley incarnation and the Eric Roberts incarnation. The idea of reincarnation goes back alot further than christianity. The Dr I think is probably more like Buddha having different incarnations. The problem I had with it was it didn't serve any real purpose it was like "oh look the Dr regenerates that's a bit like Jesus, lets put that in and try to show some kind and clever imagery and depth that our piss poor script doesn't have." It was nothing that hadn't been thought of before and was just stuck in for the sake of it.

They'd have to recast the role. That was one person for whom the term "actress" was extremely charitable.

If I could wish for anything back from the original series, it would perhaps be a reinvention of the terrifying (to an eight-year-old) seaweed monster----destroyed by leather lungs Deborah Watling (now she was hot!), or a return of the Mara, which featured in two belting Peter Davison stories let down by sub-special effects.

The seaweed creature was from a story called Fury from the Deep, sadly one of the many stories starring the great Patrick Troughton that are missing, probably never to be seen again.

I can`t see them doing anything based on Paul McGann`s doctor. Hell BBC wouldn`t let them continue the storyline from the BBC Books and lets face it the last time Fox had anything to do with Doctor who it ended up so clusterfucked they were retconning like there was no tomorrow ( Doctor`s half human my arse!!). Add to that RTD wouldn`t even consider Richard E Grant as the Doctor although he`d played him on the last webcast, I just can`t see him letting anyone tinker about with the series.

I`d like to see more stories set off earth but RTD seems to think that we can`t relate or get as involved with a story if its an alien world being invaded. I think its more to do with the arsebandit can`t write for shit.

Tennant, I think is a better doctor. Biggest mistake made was signing Ecclestone. He tried playing it too much as a clown and wasn`t interested in the series long term.

Human Nature should be decent but I`m looking forward to Simms as the master. BTW who said the high council regulated the number of regenerations?
