With no ulterior motive, and I cast no aspersions:
You seem to have a franchise to promote your "Sweet" site.
Logging onto this is dangerous to the uninitiated inasmuch that it contains interloper programmes. This means that these programmes infiltrate ones own computer and gain access to info/files etc.
I have examined this on several occassions and come to the same conclusion.
My own system is bulletproof and I would suggest you make your own the same.
I would normally mail you direct with this info/guidance. However, with your confessed dyslexia combined with the fact that your site reflects no such thing,I have chosen to make it public in the interests of fellow Forum members.
I sincerely hope that your degrees include something like -"Don't get too flash/overconfident"

Re: allan
Hmmm, Allan is an oddball to be sure. Although he touches on interesting topics he seems slightly out of phase with reality. And his site is not particularly 'Sweet' at all. Indeed some uncharitable souls might say it is 'Shite!' We best keep an eye on him...
Oh, and have you checked your e-mail today Marcus? If not have a gander, you may find something to your advantage.
Dibble.

Re: allan
Although I have no idea what the 'interloper' programmes are, which Marcus refers to, I am rather concerned by Allan's indifference to this situation, if Marcus' information is in fact correct.
Marcus: will anti-virus software detect such intrusions on a web-site?
As I recall, a similar situation arose months ago with the site of another contributor (Krome, I think); again, the situation was never resolved adequately. How are these programmes being included without the web-site owners' knowledge?

Re: allan
Hi Ted
Antivirus will do just that. However, the insiduous intruder programmes are different.
Probably the best antidote is AdAware. avaialble free to download.
Sorry cannot tell you specifics - my expert is away. But I believe that a websearch will come up with it.
It is a very simple programme that can - and should-, be run daily, the rest is self-explanatory.
Apart from the intrusive aspects, these intruder programmes are running all the time and hence affecting the performance of your PC

Re: allan
Hi
I would have thought the best thing to have done is email me and tell me what the problem is.
You are stating that my site has a problem but you have not stated what it is.
My question is:
(1) what is the problem
(2) is it on all sites or on all pages
You state that "interloper programmes are a way of advertising but in reverse.they track what sites you visit" well if this is so, if you go to the bottom of the first page on www.uksweet.com, you will see a red dot. If you click on it, it gives you the sites stats. I do not see this doing any harm at all.
Please sate what code is the problem.
I am happy to remove any problem code.
