I did see some of the TV special they did in 68, when he showed he could still rock. But then it was back to the crap films and Vegas.
He didn't really live long enough to enjoy fully the adulation his career choices garnered, but I hope that leech of a manager of his enjoyed the money he made---and with a clear conscience.
