Nijinsky was a great horse in his short (4-years) career and was retired to stud after injury in 1971. He sired several hundred foals and died eventually with a smile on his muzzle in 1992. Consequently, Many thousands of the next equine generation have considered him to be 'Grandad'. Sad, but very true, most of his progeny have been exported to the French to marinate in garlic and red wine, as very few 'make the grade'. Life is short in the racing industry, especially if you've been castrated and don't earn your keep.

Hiya Froglin, sorry for the long delay in my reply, havent paid a visit in the last few days, it was only when the ever sexy Ms Taylor called me up to inform to get my butt into gear, so here i am, ok My first Racehorse s now retired due to a bad injury, so she lives her life in fields, chillin out, but to be honest she wasnt keen on racing, and only i am stupid/brave enough to ride her as she has terrible behavior problems whilst out(what do i expect i taught her all she knows, she was cool when i raced her, i even won a small race or two, so we decided to give her a go under a proffessional, a very well known jockey, though much to his horrer, she bucked him off 4 times before he got her to the start line,it was televised on Racing channel and there is a point where all the other horses are waiting at the start 4 us, the 4th buck and they filmed me running frantically to help him back on, it is still my worst memory of bein on film!
Anyway my new boy, is an angel, perfect in every way, and is the direct Grandson of Nijinsky, the only triple crown winner since 1970, so i'm very proud,Wace, his sire is also a great horse, his racing name is Imitator(Wauncha) and i am currently about to back him then get him race fit at which time e will go into training with my old Boss. ( i also have a young pony, thats been abandoned by her owner and is in need of a home, so come on any dads, make your lile girl very happy)
